KS3/4 SEMH High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)
Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: £25,000–£29,000 per annum
Hours: Full-time
Start Date : September 2026
The Greenhouse HyFlex Academy provides specialist education for young people with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs, Special Educational Needs (SEN), and those who are looked after. Using a trauma-informed approach, we create a nurturing environment where every student can achieve their potential.
We are seeking a dedicated High Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to join our team. Working alongside teachers and specialist staff, you will support students in class, one-to-one and in small groups, helping them overcome barriers to learning, develop resilience, and achieve positive outcomes. You'll play a key role in promoting positive behaviour, delivering targeted interventions and creating a safe, engaging learning environment.
We're looking for someone who has:
- HLTA qualification (or equivalent relevant experience)
- Experience supporting young people with SEMH and/or SEN, ideally in an alternative provision or specialist setting
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Patience, resilience and a commitment to improving the lives of vulnerable young people
- A strong understanding of safeguarding responsibilities
