Job Summary
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Care Assistants to provide high-quality support to individuals in care homes and within their own homes. The successful candidate will play a vital role in assisting with daily activities, ensuring residents' comfort, and promoting their independence. Responsibilities
- Assist residents or clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Support individuals with mobility and daily activities, encouraging independence where possible
- Follow personalised care plans to meet each individual's specific needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to enhance well-being
- Maintain accurate records of care provided and any changes in residents’ conditions
- Assist with medication administration as directed by healthcare professionals
- Communicate effectively with team members, residents, and their families to ensure consistent care delivery
- Adhere to health and safety guidelines, including infection control procedures
- Support with light domestic duties such as cleaning and laundry as required
Skills
- Good communication skills in English, both verbal and written
- Ability to build rapport and establish trust with residents and colleagues
- Strong organisational skills to follow care plans accurately
- IT literacy for maintaining records and updating care documentation
- Driving licence is desirable for roles involving home care visits
- Knowledge of care home procedures and home care services is advantageous
- Excellent interpersonal skills, empathy, and patience are essential for providing compassionate support
Pay: From £13.25 per hour
