Personal Assistant to the Director
Location: BN45 (Office-based with hybrid working available by agreement)
Hours: 1–2 days per week (with flexibility)
Contract: Self Employed, Part-time, Permanent
Probation: 6 months
About the Role
Digby Developments is looking for a highly organised, trustworthy and proactive Personal Assistant to work closely with the Director, supporting both the day-to-day running of the business and personal administrative tasks.
This is a varied role that would suit someone who enjoys the fact that no two days are the same. Previous experience is beneficial; however, we're ultimately looking for the right person - someone who is reliable, has excellent attention to detail, communicates professionally, and understands the importance of discretion and confidentiality.
Initially, the role will be 1–2 days per week, with the opportunity for additional hours, career progression and performance-related bonuses as the business continues to grow.
Key Responsibilities
- Managing the Director's diary and appointments.
- Acting as the first point of contact for general enquiries.
- Assisting with the day-to-day administration of the business.
- Liaising with the company's accountants and assisting with accounts administration.
- Organising invoices, receipts and financial paperwork.
- Supporting variation accounts and construction administration.
- Maintaining accurate filing systems and company records.
- Supporting both business and personal administrative tasks.
- Handling confidential information with complete discretion.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- Trustworthy, dependable and highly professional.
- Able to maintain complete confidentiality.
- Organised, with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confident using Microsoft Office and email systems.
- An excellent written and verbal communicator with strong spelling and punctuation.
- Able to manage multiple tasks and prioritise their workload.
- Friendly, approachable and proactive.
- Comfortable working independently and using their own initiative.
- A positive problem solver with a can-do attitude.
Desirable Experience
- Previous experience as a Personal Assistant or Executive Assistant.
- Experience within the construction industry.
- Experience supporting accountants or assisting with accounts administration.
- Knowledge of variation accounts or construction documentation.
- Experience dealing with suppliers and contractors.
