Salary: £27,040 - £31,000 per annum (depending on experience)

We are looking for a motivated, organised and professional Dental Receptionist to become part of our welcoming team at NHS Dentist, a long-established practice serving the Fulham and Earl's Court communities for over 27 years.
Our practice has built an outstanding reputation for patient care, with over 1,300 Google reviews, and is proud to have a large, experienced team comprising 18 dentists, 5 hygienists, 17 dental nurses, 5 receptionists and 2 Treatment Coordinators. We are committed to providing the highest standards of clinical care and customer service in a modern, supportive working environment.
As a dual-service provider, we offer both NHS and private dentistry, including dental implants, Invisalign, periodontal treatment and endodontics. We continually invest in our team, technology and training to ensure we deliver the very best experience for both patients and staff.

The Role
As the first point of contact for our patients, you will play a vital role in creating a positive and welcoming experience from the moment they arrive or contact the practice.
Working within our busy reception team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the front desk while always delivering outstanding customer service.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcoming patients in a friendly, professional and caring manner.
- Managing appointments and clinician diaries using EXACT dental software.
- Answering telephone calls, emails and patient enquiries efficiently and professionally.
- Booking, amending and confirming appointments.
- Processing patient payments and handling billing queries accurately.
- Maintaining accurate patient records and ensuring confidentiality.
- Managing referrals and correspondence.
- Liaising with dentists, nurses, hygienists and treatment coordinators to ensure the smooth running of the practice.
- Resolving patient queries and concerns with empathy and professionalism.
- Maintaining a clean, organised and welcoming reception area.
About You
We're looking for someone who is:
- An experienced Dental Receptionist with at least one year's experience.
- Friendly, approachable and confident communicating with patients.
- Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.
- Calm under pressure and able to multitask within a busy environment.
- Professional, reliable and punctual.
- A genuine team player with a positive attitude.
- Passionate about delivering exceptional customer service.
Essential
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Dental Receptionist.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and administrative skills.
- Ability to work confidently in a fast-paced environment.
- Right to work in the United Kingdom.
Desirable
- Experience using EXACT dental software.
- Knowledge of NHS and private dental practice procedures.
- Understanding of dental terminology.
Working Hours
- Full-time position (40 hours per week).
- Flexibility required to work early or late shift
- Alternate Saturdays are required, with a half-day off in lieu.
