We are looking for an experienced Plumbing & Heating Engineer to join our team on a long-term basis. This is a secure position with excellent opportunities for professional development, training and progression within the company.

The Role
You will be responsible for carrying out a wide range of reactive maintenance, repairs, servicing and installation work across domestic plumbing and heating systems.
Your day-to-day work will include:
- Heating fault finding, repairs and installation
- Gas safety inspections and certification
- Boiler servicing and breakdown repairs
- Boiler installations and replacements
- General plumbing fault finding and repairs
- Domestic plumbing installations
- Diagnosing faults and providing effective solutions
- Maintaining a professional standard of workmanship and customer service
*The work load would be manageable and achievable, without unnecessary unrealistic expectations.
As the company expands and evolves, there will also be opportunities to become involved in heat pump and air conditioning installations and servicing, with training and qualifications provided where appropriate.

What We’re Looking ForEssential:
- NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing
- Full UK driving licence
- Gas qualifications: CCN1, CPA1, CENWAT and CKR1
- 5–10+ years' experience in plumbing and heating
- Strong knowledge of domestic plumbing and heating systems
- Ability to fault-find, diagnose and repair systems effectively
- Ability to work independently and manage jobs to a high standard
- Professional, reliable, punctual and well presented
- Good communication and customer service skills
Desirable:
- NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing
- HTR1
- DAH1
- G3 qualification
- Previous experience with heat pumps or renewable heating systems
- Previous air conditioning experience or qualifications
Heat pump and air conditioning experience is not essential. We are interested in engineers who are keen to develop their skills and qualifications in these areas as ORCA expands into these sectors.
