Job Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, maintaining and repairing a wide range of vehicles to ensure safety, reliability and optimal performance. As a qualified MOT Tester, you will also carry out official MOT tests in line with legal requirements, ensuring vehicles meet all required safety standards.
You will work as part of a dedicated team committed to delivering high-quality workmanship and excellent customer service.
Key Duties
● Perform comprehensive vehicle inspections, diagnostics, servicing and repairs
● Carry out MOT tests in accordance with legal requirements (if qualified)
● Diagnose faults across engine, brake, suspension and electrical systems
● Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively
● Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used and diagnostic findings
● Ensure all work complies with health and safety regulations and company standards
● Maintain a clean, safe and organised workshop environment
What We’re Looking For
● Level 3 qualification in Light Vehicle Maintenance & Repair (NVQ, City & Guilds or IMI)
● Proven experience as a Vehicle Technician or similar role
● Valid MOT Tester licence (preferred but not essential)
● Strong mechanical knowledge across a range of vehicle makes and models
● Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills
● Ability to work independently and as part of a team
● Good communication skills with a customer-focused approach
● Full UK driving licence
