Summary
We are seeking a caring and reliable Care Assistant to join our team at Glyn Thomas House. This role is vital in ensuring our residents receive compassionate support that enhances their quality of life.
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance to residents in accordance with care plans.
- Support residents with daily activities, including mobility and hygiene.
- Maintain accurate records of care provided.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and team members.
- Assist with meal preparation and medication administration as required.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and comfortable environment for all residents.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive resident care
Qualifications
- Previous experience in a care home or home care setting is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills in English.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to help others.
- Driving license is advantageous but not mandatory. Due to bank holidays, public transport may not be running on bank holidays.
- Basic IT skills for documentation purposes.
- Knowledge of care plans and health & safety procedures is desirable.
