Role Overview
We are seeking a capable Mandarin Speaking Client Account Manager to manage core client accounting functions for our lettings portfolio. This role suits someone with solid experience who is ready to take ownership of day-to-day processes and better landlord relationships with confidence.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform daily reconciliation of client accounting for the letting portfolio, ensuring all transactions are accurately recorded and balances are correct
- Arrange and process landlord expense payouts in a timely and accurate manner- Ensure all company reimbursements have been correctly charged, checking accounts regularly to confirm no reimbursable costs are missed or left outstanding
- Reconcile landlord statements and respond to landlord queries promptly and professionally- Work closely with the property management team to ensure landlord liabilities are correctly recognised
- Calculate partner/agent commissions accurately and on schedule
- Maintain a strong working knowledge of the Non-Resident Landlord (NRL) scheme, including applying NRL for landlords and submitting returns as required by HMRC
- Monitor rent arrears and proactively chase outstanding payments in line with the company's Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Prepare and submit rent protection insurance claims and follow up on claim progress, liaising with insurers until all outstanding rent has been received and the tenant has fully vacated the property.
Skills & Experience Required
- Previous experience in client accounting, property management, or a similar finance role within the lettings/property sector
- Excellent reconciliation and numerical accuracy skills
- Fluency in Mandarin and Cantonese is essential; proficiency in English is also required
- A proactive attitude with excellent communication skills and cultural sensitivity
Pay: £25,000.00-£35,000.00 per year
