Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Facilities Manager specialising in Building Fabric to oversee the maintenance, repair, and optimisation of our building infrastructure. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a team, coordinating fabric maintenance projects, and ensuring the smooth operation, upkeep, and compliance of all building fabric elements across our cilent's facilities. This role offers an excellent opportunity for a skilled professional with strong leadership abilities to contribute to the ongoing efficiency and safety of our premises.
Responsibilities
- Manage the delivery of planned and reactive building fabric maintenance across multiple sites.
- Ensure statutory compliance and contractual obligations are achieved.
- Lead and support operational teams, supervisors and subcontractors.
- Monitor PPM performance and identify opportunities to reduce reactive maintenance.
- Carry out building fabric inspections including roofs, walls, doors, windows, ceilings and finishes.
- Maintain and update building fabric asset registers.
- Prepare scopes of work, quotations and manage minor works projects.
- Monitor budgets, resource allocation and operational performance.
- Ensure CAFM systems and maintenance records remain accurate and audit-ready.
- Produce KPI reports and attend client review meetings.
- Investigate building defects and recommend long-term solutions.
- Promote a strong health, safety and compliance culture.
- Support sustainability initiatives and lifecycle asset planning.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Facilities Manager, Contracts Manager or Senior Facilities Supervisor.
- Strong knowledge of building fabric maintenance and repair.
- Experience managing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance.
- Excellent understanding of Health & Safety legislation and safe systems of work.
- Experience managing subcontractors and direct labour teams.
- Strong client relationship and stakeholder management skills.
- Experience using CAFM systems.
- Excellent organisational, planning and communication skills.
- Full UK Driving Licence.

Pay: £55,000.00-£65,000.00 per year
