This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing practice where no two days are the same. You'll work alongside an experienced and friendly team, developing your clinical skills whilst making a real difference to the lives of our patients and their owners.
The Role
As a Registered Veterinary Nurse, you'll play a key role in delivering outstanding patient care and supporting our veterinary surgeons across all aspects of the practice.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting veterinary surgeons during consultations, surgeries and diagnostic procedures.
- Monitoring anaesthesia and providing surgical nursing support.
- Delivering excellent inpatient care and monitoring hospitalised patients.
- Providing pre- and post-operative nursing care, including wound management and patient recovery.
- Performing laboratory diagnostics including blood work, microscopy, urinalysis and in-house testing.
- Administering medications, vaccinations and treatments as prescribed.
- Running nurse consultations and promoting preventative healthcare.
- Educating clients on nutrition, parasite prevention, medication administration and general pet health.
- Maintaining accurate clinical records and ensuring compliance with RCVS and practice protocols.
- Working closely with the wider team to ensure the smooth day-to-day running of the practice.
- Helping maintain the highest standards of patient care, hygiene and clinical excellence.
