Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Auto Electrician / Vehicle Technician to join our busy workshop team.
In this role, you will be responsible for Installation, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of vehicles with a focus on 12v/24v aftermarket equipment being installed on vehicles including lightbars, beacons, towbars, Dash Camera's, batteries, battery management, electrical systems and mechanical components.
Your expertise will ensure that each vehicle is installed efficiently and to the highest standards, contributing to safe and reliable solution for our customers. Responsibilities
- Diagnose electrical issues and mechanical faults in a wide range of vehicles using specialised tools and equipment
- Perform repairs and maintenance tasks including wiring, lighting, battery systems and other electrical components
- Use hand tools and power tools safely and effectively to carry out repairs, replacements, and adjustments
- Conduct heavy lifting when required to move vehicle parts or equipment safely within the workshop
- Follow safety protocols diligently to maintain a clean, organised, and hazard-free work environment
- Complete detailed Job sheets, inspection checklists, and documentation for each vehicle worked on.
- Assist with routine vehicle inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure ongoing safety and performance
Qualifications
- Proven experience as an auto electrician or vehicle technician in a workshop setting
- Mechanical knowledge combined with electrical troubleshooting skills
- Proficiency in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely as part of daily tasks
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail
- Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members and customers
- Relevant certifications or qualifications in automotive electrical systems or vehicle repair are preferred but not mandatory

Pay: £35,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
