Job Description:
At Barnaby Bars, we’re looking for a reliable, organised and enthusiastic Production & Packing Assistant to join our growing team in Christchurch.
Working alongside another member of the team, you’ll help to coat our bars using our chocolate coating machine, as well as carefully packing and preparing customer orders for dispatch. This is a hands-on role that would suit someone who enjoys practical work, takes pride in presentation and has excellent attention to detail.
Availability Requirements:
We are hiring for both full-time and part-time roles. Shifts will mainly take place during the daytime on weekdays, although some flexibility may be required during busy seasonal periods.
Responsibilities
- Assist with coating and preparing our handmade chocolate bars, using our chocolate coating machine.
- Follow production instructions carefully to maintain consistent quality and presentation.
- Pick and pack customer orders accurately and efficiently.
- Check each order for accuracy, quality and presentation before dispatch.
- Print shipping labels and process orders using our online order and courier systems.
- Organise outgoing parcels and prepare them for courier collection.
- Assist with stock counts and deliveries when required.
- Maintain a clean, organised and food-safe production and packing area.
- Follow all food hygiene, health and safety procedures.
- Work closely with the wider team to ensure production targets are met and daily orders are dispatched on time.

- Confidence working in a busy, hands-on environment.
- Previous experience in food production, packing, fulfilment or a similar role is preferred but not essential.
- Knowledge of food safety practices is desirable.
- Flexibility to support the team during busy seasonal periods.

Pay: £13.00-£13.50 per hour
