SHL Workforce is seeking experienced and reliable Team Leader Dig Gangers to deliver high-volume Customer Side Leakage (CSL) repairs and service laying.
There is no shortage of work.
You must be able to provide your own second ganger, forming a competent 2-person team ready to hit the ground running.
This is a high-output, price-work contract where performance directly drives earnings. We supply the van, fuel, plant, and logistics—you bring the skill, leadership, and productivity.
Earning Potential & Productivity
This contract is built for teams who want to maximise earnings through output:
- Target: 12 jobs per week
- Productivity: 3 jobs per day achievable

The Role: Team Leader Ganger (2-Person Team)
As the Team Leader, you will take responsibility for delivering works safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a 2-person dig team (yourself + your second ganger)
- Excavation, repair, and replacement of customer-side service pipes
- Safe operation of plant and equipment
- Backfilling and high-quality reinstatement
- Digital reporting, job updates, and compliance via handheld systems
You’ll be fully supported by a dedicated Support Driver, handling muck-away and materials—allowing you to stay focused on production.
Requirements
Essential:
- NRSWA
- Moling
- EUSR Blue Water Hygiene
- Cat & Genny (Cat 1 & 2)
- Proven R&M (Repair & Maintenance) water experience
- Ability to lead a team and manage daily output
- SHEA Water
Highly Desirable:
- 360 Excavator/Digger ticket
- SSSTS
