Complex Care Support Worker(School Hours)
Location: High Wycombe, HP14
Job Type: Part-time, Permanent (Term-time only)
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:45 am – 3:15 pm (32.5 hours/week)
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and skilled healthcare professional to provide 1:1 complex care support for an adorable 6-year-old.
You will accompany the child during his school day, ensuring his medical, physical, and emotional needs are met in a safe and supportive environment. This is an incredibly rewarding opportunity to make a direct, positive impact on a young child's education and daily life.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain airway safety through regular monitoring, suctioning, and managing humidification/nebulisers.
- Manage gastrostomy tube (G-tube) feedings and administer scheduled medications.
- Perform routine tracheostomy care, including safe tape changes.
- Assist with personal care, including nappy changes and maintaining hygiene.
- Engage with the child to support his learning, social interaction, and wellbeing at school.
Required Skills & Competencies
- Proven experience in complex paediatric care or a strong background in clinical support.
- Fully competent in Tracheostomy care and Suctioning.
- Fully competent in Gastrostomy tube (G-tube) management.
- Experience with nebulisers, humidification, and clinical tape changes.
- High level of responsibility, patience, and a positive attitude.
- Enhanced DBS check
