We are seeking a dynamic and compassionate Deputy Service Manager to join our dedicated team in delivering exceptional care within a vibrant care at home service. This pivotal role involves supporting the Service Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring the highest standards of adult care, and fostering a warm, safe, and engaging atmosphere for supported persons. The Deputy Service Manager will play a key role in supervising staff, implementing care plans, and maintaining compliance with all regulatory requirements. Responsibilities
- Assist the Service Manager in coordinating day-to-day operations within the care home, ensuring smooth and efficient service delivery
- Supervise and support care staff, promoting best practices in assisted living, learning disabilities, dementia care, and Alzheimer’s care
- Lead on developing, reviewing, and updating personalised care plans tailored to each resident’s needs
- Support recruitment, induction and onboarding of staff in accordance with safer recruitment procedures
- Oversee medication administration processes to ensure safety and compliance with healthcare regulations
- Foster a positive environment by mentoring staff, encouraging teamwork, and maintaining high levels of staff morale
- Monitor quality standards through audits, resident feedback, and incident reports to ensure continuous improvement
- Support management of emergency procedures and ensure adherence to health and safety policies
Requirements
- Proven experience of working in adult social care/care at home service or a related setting with a strong understanding of adult care principles and supporting people with complex needs
- Demonstrated supervisory or management experience within a care at home service
- Knowledge of dementia care, Alzheimer’s care, and managing complex needs such as medication administration
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to motivate and guide multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication skills for liaising with residents, families, staff, and external healthcare professionals
- Relevant qualification in Health and Social Care, Social Work, Nursing or equivalent
- SVQ Level 3 or above in Health and Social Care, or willingness to obtain an appropriate qualification
- Commitment to delivering person-centered care that respects individual dignity and promotes independence
- Full UK licence and access to a vehicle is highly desirable

Pay: £30,500.00-£34,000.00 per year
