Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and professional Delivery Driver to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for transporting goods efficiently and safely to various locations, ensuring timely deliveries. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a passion for driving and customer service, contributing to the smooth operation of our logistics services. The hours do vary depending on your availability. We are also a 7 day operation and you will be expected to pick up some days every other weekend. There are also bonus which you can earn each day.
Duties
- Safely operate company vehicles, including vans and lorries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations
- Deliver goods to clients and customers across designated routes within specified timeframes
- Load and unload items, often requiring heavy lifting, with attention to safety procedures
- Verify delivery details and obtain necessary signatures or proof of delivery
- Maintain accurate delivery records and documentation
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers and clients regarding delivery schedules or issues
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections and report any maintenance needs or damages promptly
- Ensure the vehicle is kept clean and well-maintained at all times
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar commercial driving role
- Valid <PERSON> driver’s licence with a clean driving record
- Experience in warehouse operations or logistics is advantageous
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when required during loading and unloading processes
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members
- Good organisational skills with the ability to manage time efficiently across multiple deliveries
- Knowledge of local routes and traffic patterns preferred
- Flexibility to work various shifts as needed, including early mornings or late evenings if required
