Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Truck Driver/labourer/Yard man to join our team on a part time or full time basis with flexible hours each week and a minimum/maximum amount of hours based on your personal preference. You may be required to work different days/times each week. As a Truck Driver/labourer/yard man, you will be responsible for transporting goods and materials to various locations and assisting other scaffolders/labourers with the erection of scaffolding and also working in the yard tidying, organising and painting equipment. This is a vital role in our organization, ensuring timely and safe delivery of equipment.
Responsibilities:
- Safely operate company dropside trucks ranging from 3.5 tonnes to 18 tonnes
- Follow all traffic laws and regulations to ensure safe transportation
- Assist scaffolders with unloaded/loading of equipment at yard and on site
- Communicate effectively with scaffolders, customers, and team members
- Adhere to company policies and procedures
Skills:
To excel in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- Valid commercial driver's license (CDL)
- Proven experience as a Truck Driver or Delivery Driver
- Excellent driving skills and knowledge of traffic laws and regulations
- Ability to operate dropside trucks with 6m backs
- Strong communication skills to interact with team members and customers
- Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
- Physical stamina to handle loading/unloading of scaffolding
