Hilgay Care Home is seeking an experienced and dedicated Full-Time Deputy Home Manager to assist the Registered Manager in the effective day-to-day operation of the service. The successful candidate will help ensure that high standards of care are consistently maintained in line with all relevant regulations, policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Work directly on the care floor, including 18–24 hours of supernumerary time each week.
- Participate in the on-call rota as part of the Deputy Manager responsibilities.
- Collaborate closely with the Registered Manager and the wider team to ensure effective communication, continuity of information, and consistent implementation of standards and policies.
- Communicate professionally and effectively with staff, residents’ families, and external professionals to ensure the highest quality of care is delivered.
- Ensure staff receive regular supervision and adhere to all company policies and procedures.
- Oversee residents’ individual care plans, ensuring key workers have identified and addressed each resident’s physical, social, and emotional needs.
- Carry out assessments for prospective residents, which may be required on any day of the week.
- Work at least one shift every other weekend.
- Support and contribute to the home’s Facebook page by sharing activities and events that take place within the home.
Applicant Requirements
- A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a Deputy Manager role is essential.
- NVQ Level 3 / Diploma in Adult Care Workforce Level 3 is required; Level 5 is preferred.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong organisational and planning abilities.

Pay: £36,500.00 per year
