Do you want a career where you can be told ‘oh I’m so happy its you’
A career where investment in your training and development is prioritised and you can progress if you want to within a short space of time?
A career centred on developing relationships with people and their families to improve their everyday lives.
If you feel a calling inside you saying yes this is me, then we want to hear from you.
We are Clifton Homecare, a family owned home care provider which offers a service to help families like yours to live independently in their own home. Often the people we support will have lived in these homes for most of their lives and want to continue to live there but they can only do so with a package of care, that is where we help.
Our service is all about people, so let us tell you a bit about one of our staff – Clare.
Clare has been working at Clifton Homecare for around 2 years, she had worked in large corporate care providers before but had found herself disillusioned, the flexibility she needed in hours wasn’t available, she felt like a bit of a number to them. She then left care, deciding to work in bars for a period of time before seeing an opportunity here. Clare naturally was wanting to be really thorough in making sure it wasn’t taking a step backwards, this time it would be somewhere she wanted to stay and develop.
Clare was able to speak directly to the Managing Director – Caroline and the organisational values really shone through, one of those values being family. This was more than just a value, it was evident from the outset and gave Clare the reassurance that not all care providers are the same.
Just 2 years down the line, Clare is nearing the completion of a funded level 3 qualification with support off of rota to complete in work time, she has also progressed to a team leader role which brings in extra money, responsibility and influence (not to mention the satisfaction of seeing her team succeeding too).
Clare has spoken recently about some of her happiest memories working at Clifton Homecare, a recent client had lost a sense of independence since being discharged from hospital. In Clare's words, ‘I get to see small goals achieved often and looking back I see all of the branches of positive moments that contribute towards the bigger goal’ – steps like putting her own glasses on and drying her own hair, might not mean a lot to a lot of us in our day to day lives but these mean so much to people where they have been not got the independence to do it themselves.
