About the club
Bayes Active is a female-only community health and fitness club in Eastbourne, offering a welcoming and supportive environment where women can improve their strength, mobility, fitness and overall wellbeing.
The club is currently going through an exciting period of transition, with new ownership and a rebrand to Thrive Health Club planned over the coming months. While the name and some elements of the club will evolve, our focus will remain on creating a friendly, inclusive and non-intimidating place for women to be active and feel good.
We offer a range of ways for members to exercise, including power-assisted exercise equipment, a dedicated cardio fitness room, independent exercise and a programme of instructor-led classes.
The opportunity
We are looking for an enthusiastic and engaging Exercise-to-Music Instructor to join our programme and deliver a regular weekly class.
We’re particularly interested in someone who can bring energy, fun and personality to a session – something along the lines of:
- Dancercise / dance fitness
- Movement to music
- Fun aerobics
- Low-impact aerobics
- Cardio-based group exercise
- Other enjoyable, music-led fitness sessions
The most important thing is that the class is fun, accessible and welcoming, rather than feeling like a traditional high-intensity fitness class.
Our members are looking for an opportunity to get moving, enjoy themselves, improve their fitness and leave feeling better than when they arrived.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for someone who:
- Has a recognised Exercise to Music / Group Exercise qualification
- Has experience delivering group fitness classes
- Is confident, friendly and enthusiastic
- Can create a welcoming environment for women of different ages and fitness levels
- Enjoys working with people and building a rapport with members
- Can bring their own personality and style to the class
- Is reliable and able to commit to a regular weekly session
We’d be particularly interested in instructors who have experience with Dancercise, aerobics, low-impact fitness, movement to music or similar classes, but we’re open to ideas.
What we can offer
- A regular weekly class at an established community club
- A friendly, supportive environment
- The opportunity to build a relationship with our members
- Freedom to bring your own style and ideas to your session
- Potential for additional sessions as the class programme develops
- The opportunity to become part of the new Thrive Health Club as we develop the club over the coming months
If you’re an enthusiastic instructor who loves getting people moving and having fun, we’d love to hear from you.
Please get in touch with Matt to discuss the opportunity, your availability and the type of class you’d like to deliver.
Pay: £15.00-£30.00 per hour
