About Us
Global Tyres & Servicing Centre is a busy independent garage in Walsall, open 7 days a week. We supply and fit new and part-worn tyres, carry out puncture repairs, wheel balancing, wheel alignment, servicing and general vehicle repairs for both private and business customers.
Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced Tyre Fitter to join our team.
The Role
You will be responsible for fitting tyres safely and efficiently while delivering excellent customer service. The ideal candidate will be able to work independently, maintain high standards and assist with the day-to-day running of a busy workshop.
Key Responsibilities
- Fitting and replacing car and van tyres
- Repairing punctures
- Wheel balancing
- Assisting with wheel alignment operations
- Conducting tyre inspections and safety checks
- Fitting low-profile and run-flat tyres
- Checking tyre pressures and tread depths
- Maintaining a clean and organised work area
- Loading, unloading and storing tyre deliveries
- Assisting customers in a professional and friendly manner
- Supporting the workshop team when required
Requirements
- Minimum 2 years tyre fitting experience required
- Experience fitting car and light commercial vehicle tyres
- Ability to work independently and efficiently
- Good customer service skills
- Reliable, punctual and hard-working
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Full UK driving licence preferred
Desirable Skills
- Wheel alignment experience
- Basic mechanical knowledge
- Experience using tyre fitting and balancing equipment
- Previous experience in a busy independent garage
