Cook (Nursery)
About Us:
Little Plums Nursery is a welcoming and nurturing childcare setting committed to providing high-quality care and education. We are currently seeking a Permanent Cook to cover staff leave, ensuring our children receive healthy, nutritious meals each day.
Role Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook fresh, balanced meals for children, following the nursery’s set menu.
- Cater for specific dietary requirements, including allergies and cultural preferences.
- Maintain high food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organised, and compliant with food safety regulations.
- Manage stock levels and assist with food orders if required.
- Ensure meals are prepared and served on time.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in a similar role (nursery, school, or care setting preferred).
- Understanding of food hygiene and safety regulations (Food Hygiene Certificate is desirable).
- Ability to work independently and manage kitchen duties efficiently.
- A friendly, positive attitude and the ability to work as part of a team.
