Overview
We are a large, innovative and well-organised NHS GP Practice with a traditional ethos of patient-centered continuity of care based in Battersea, South West London (SW11).
We are seeking a professional and organised NHS Receptionist & Administrator to join our committed and friendly team. This vital role involves providing excellent customer service to patients, managing administrative tasks efficiently, and supporting the smooth operation of the practice. The successful candidate will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors ensuring a welcoming environment while maintaining high standards of costumer care.
Duties
- ·Offer general assistance to the practice team and project a positive and friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person, via the telephone or by email/online
- ·Receive, assist and direct patients in accessing the appropriate service or healthcare professional in a courteous, efficient and effective way either in person, over the telephone or online
- Undertake a variety of administrative duties to assist in the smooth running of the practice: prescriptions, scanning, registrations, referrals, admin, assigning requests
- Facilitate effective communication between patients and clinical team members and the wider primary care team.
Requirements
- Previous office or administrative experience is highly desirable
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy environment
- Proficiency in using computer systems and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of NHS procedures or healthcare administration is advantageous but not essential
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team whilst also demonstrating initiative

Position
We have one full-time position currently available working 5 days per week (Monday til Friday)

£14.80 after successful completion of probation period
