Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of grilled dishes according to recipes and standards
- Ensure all food is prepared safely, maintaining strict food safety protocols
- Manage the grill station efficiently during service periods, ensuring timely delivery of dishes
- Assist with meal preparation and other kitchen duties as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the grill station and surrounding areas
- Monitor stock levels and inform management of ingredients needed for upcoming service
- Collaborate with team members to deliver exceptional customer service during busy periods
- Adhere to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of equipment and ingredients
Skills
- Proven experience in food preparation and cooking, preferably within a restaurant or catering environment
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices
- Excellent skills in meal preparation, especially grilling techniques
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during peak hours
- Good organisational skills with an eye for detail in food presentation
- Experience in kitchen operations, including managing multiple tasks simultaneously
- Strong communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Previous restaurant experience or serving background is advantageous but not essential
