We are currently recruiting for Security Officers to join our Gafoor Team on permanent basis as follows:
· 5 days a week from Monday to Sunday from 06:00 – 14:00 – 40 hours weekly
· 5 days a week from Monday to Sunday from 14:00 – 22:00 – 40 hours weekly
· 5 days a week from Monday to Sunday from 22:00 – 06:00 – 40 hours weekly
You must be flexible and available to work on a varied shift pattern which will include days nights and weekends.
ABOUT GAFOOR
Located in Preston, Gafoor is a family business with over 50 years of history which operates from a purpose-built modern plant producing fresh-quality, just-in-time chicken for our valued customers.
The role:
You will work independently in a security lodge at the gate monitoring movement of staff and vehicles on and off the site. As a Security Officer at Gafoor, you are more than a Security Guard. You’ll ensure the safety of our visitors, staff, buildings and assets, whilst providing excellent customer service with a smile in a safe and secure environment.
Duties include but not limited to:
- Protect company property and assets from criminal activity and health & safety hazards
- Provide Front of House and Mailroom services. Check and screen all people entering the premises, staff, visitors, contractors, couriers etc
- Control of access barriers, Use of CCTV
- Night security patrols every two hours and recording the temperature from refrigerated lorries
You will:
- Have a positive attitude and work ethic;
- Possess excellent communication skills;
- Be self-motivated and be able to work independently with and as part of a team.
- Be able to work additional hours as overtime may be required
- Ideally have experience in Security and hold SIA license
The rate of pay is the competitive rate of:
- Hourly rate – £12.71 per hour, Overtime rate - £15.88 per hour
- Weekly Pay (Before taxes) – up to circa £508.40 per week
- Salary (Before taxes) – up to circa £26,436.80 per annum
