Chef job description
Seaforth House is a small care home offering respite care for people with a variety of disabilities and special needs.
As Chef you will be well organised, catering to the special needs of residents and ensuring the meals provided and workspace management are of high standard.
Chef job requirements
- Proven experience of running a kitchen
- Professional chef diploma NVQ Level 2 and above or an equivalent accreditation
- Sound knowledge of food health and safety regulations
- The ability to stand for extended periods of time
- The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent organisational and time management skills
- Effective communication skills
Your day-to-day key responsibilities entail but are not limited to
- Delegation to kitchen assistants and collaboration with fellow chefs
- Maintain a balanced level of stock
- Order the appropriate amount of inventory to replenish stock, in a timely manner
- Maintain safety standards in the designated areas
- Quality control
Shift times are 8am to 5pm
Full time position (Part time considered), contracted 5 days per week.
Due to the location of our care home, own transport is required as there's no public transport available.
We are eager to receive your application.
