Angel Recovery Ltd is a busy, fast-paced vehicle recovery and transport business. We rely on a secure, well-organized yard and a fully maintained fleet to keep our operations running smoothly 24/7. We are currently looking for a dependable and hands-on Night Yard Foreman to oversee our RM1 depot during the night shift.
The Role
As the Night Yard Foreman, you will be the eyes, ears, and hands of the depot after hours. You will be responsible for keeping the yard secure, ensuring our fleet is ready for the road, and managing nightly inventory. This is a hands-on role perfect for someone with a background in tyre fitting or basic mechanics who takes pride in maintaining a safe and secure working environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Tyre Fitting: Fit, repair, and balance tyres for fleet and customer vehicles as required.
- Depot Security: Act as the primary keyholder during the night. Conduct regular, thorough yard patrols to ensure the premises, vehicles, and equipment remain fully secure.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Carry out simple, routine vehicle repairs and basic fleet maintenance (e.g., bulb changes, fluid top-ups, battery checks).
- Inventory Management: Conduct nightly checks and log accurate inventory of vehicles currently in the yard, as well as tools and recovery equipment.
- Yard Management: Ensure the depot is kept clean, organized, and compliant with health and safety standards. Direct the parking and storage of recovered vehicles.
Requirements
- Proven experience in tyre fitting (essential).
- Basic mechanical knowledge and the ability to perform simple vehicle repairs.
- Highly trustworthy and reliable, with a strong sense of responsibility for security.
- Comfortable working night shifts and managing your own time effectively.
- A full UK Driving Licence (required for maneuvering vehicles around the yard).
- Previous experience in a yard management, security, or workshop environment is a strong advantage.
