Overview
We are seeking a passionate and experienced Part-Time Malaysian/Asian Confinement Chef to join our dedicated team. This role is perfect for a culinary professional who specializes in traditional Malaysian and Asian cuisine, particularly in preparing nourishing, culturally authentic meals for new mothers during their postpartum confinement period. As a key contributor to our hospitality services, you will deliver exceptional food preparation and cooking that promotes health, comfort, and cultural authenticity. Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook traditional Malaysian and Asian confinement dishes with attention to authenticity and nutritional value
- Supervise food production processes to ensure consistency, quality, and food safety standards are maintained at all times
- Manage kitchen operations efficiently, including ingredient sourcing, storage, and inventory control
- Lead and coordinate with team members to ensure timely meal service while maintaining a clean and organized kitchen environment
- Customize menus based on clients’ dietary requirements and cultural preferences, ensuring a personalized experience
- Uphold strict food safety protocols and hygiene standards in accordance with health regulations
- Serve meals with professionalism and warmth, creating a welcoming atmosphere for clients during their postpartum recovery period
Experience
- Proven supervising experience in a professional kitchen setting, preferably within hospitality or restaurant environments
- Extensive culinary experience with a focus on Malaysian or Asian cuisine, including food preparation and cooking techniques
- Strong background in food safety practices and kitchen management responsibilities
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage a team effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Hands-on experience in food production, serving, and maintaining high standards of hospitality
- Prior experience working in confinement or postpartum care settings is advantageous but not mandatory
- Knowledge of restaurant operations and food service standards to ensure seamless meal delivery
