JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: PRODUCTION SUPPORT OPERATIVE
REPORTING TO: PRODUCTION SUPERVISOR
PURPOSE
To work as a member of the Production Manufacturing Team in order support any requirements highlighted by management.
This role will be carried out on a day shift / afternoon shift / night shift
SCOPE
The position works within the Production Department but will require a liaison with all other departments to ensure responsibilities are carried out effectively.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To carry out preparation and finishing work for customer components by following manufacturing process plans, work instructions, customer specifications and engineering drawings.
2. To work in accordance with the relevant work instructions in order to ensure that the quality of grit used is always to the required standard.
3. To be diligent in spotting defects to any components on site and reporting to your supervisor.
4. To be responsible for the quality of your work, before handover to the next process step.
5. To maintain a safe and clean working environment by complying with Company procedures, rules and regulations.
6. To support in all basic production functions when required by the Production Supervisor.
7. To work within the Company’s quality, health and safety and environmental management systems at all times.
8. To conserve resources by only using the equipment and consumables which are required to complete each job to the required standard.
9. To complete all production and quality documentation as instructed.
10. To undertake any other duties as may be required from time to time.
PERSONAL COMPETENCIES
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills are essential.
- To have a keen eye for detail and a results-driven approach.
- The ability to communicate clearly with your team, managers and clients.
- The ability to work under pressure and motivate others to meet tight deadlines;
- A self-motivated, reliable person is required.
- Must have an attention to detail and have a high regard for accuracy and quality.
- Would need to be flexible with regards to the duties performed and the necessity for alterations in working times.
Pay: £24,785.00-£27,000.00 per year
