Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced sous chef to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will extensive culinary and kitchen experience, and a passion for food preparation and service. This role involves supervising daily operations, ensuring food safety standards are maintained, and fostering a positive team environment. The successful candidate will play a vital part in delivering exceptional dining experiences while managing staff and overseeing food production processes.
Responsibilities
- Key member of the kitchen team team to ensure efficient food preparation and service.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, including food production, cooking, and presentation standards.
- Manage team schedules, delegate tasks, and provide training to optimise performance.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, hygiene, and cleanliness in accordance with health regulations.
- Assist with menu planning, recipe development, and quality control of dishes served.
- Support staff development through coaching, mentoring, and performance evaluations.
- Coordinate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Monitor inventory levels, order supplies, and manage stock rotation effectively.
- Uphold a positive work environment that promotes teamwork, professionalism, and hospitality excellence.
Requirements
- Proven supervising experience within a food production or hospitality setting.
- Extensive culinary experience with a strong background in food preparation and cooking techniques.
- Previous experience in restaurant or hospitality environments is required.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to manage teams effectively.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and regulations is essential.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and management.
- Passion for delivering high-quality food and exceptional customer service.
- Will live with in a 25 mile radius of Leighton Buzzard or be will to re locate to the area.
Pay: £27,000.00-£32,000.00 per year
