We are a boutique criminal defence firm, ranked in the Legal 500 for our nationwide work across the whole of England and Wales.
As an experienced Accounts Manager you will conduct the following work:
- Using QuickBooks software to record both client and business receipts and expenditures and reconciliation of accounts
- Liaising daily with members of internal staff as well as external agencies, i.e. Counsel Chambers and accountants
- Ensuring prompt payment of invoices, querying where necessary to ensure accuracy of outgoing payments.
- Overseeing management of business/client accounts, in close liaison with Directors
- Day to day supervision of junior accounts team staff member
- Identification, investigation and resolution of accounts-based issues/anomalies/concerns.
- Liaising with accountant for various processes throughout the year, such as End of Year and payroll
- Managing company pension scheme
- Submitting quarterly VAT returns and paying bills before payment deadline.
- Answering a portion of incoming phone calls, especially when colleagues are otherwise engaged
