Homeschooling Tutor(s) – Tower Hamlets
Enjoy Education is seeking one or two experienced SEN tutors to deliver a bespoke educational programme for a male young adult with complex SEN needs. The programme will focus on Functional Skills English, and LIFE (Learning for Independence and Future Employment) outcomes, with an emphasis on engagement, independence, learning readiness, and preparation for adulthood. Tutors should have strong experience supporting learners with complex needs, be confident managing challenging behaviours, and possess excellent relationship-building skills. Experience with de-escalation strategies and/or physical intervention training is highly desirable.
Programme Details
- Start Date: Immediate
- Hours: Up to 30 hours per week
- Schedule: Term time only (following state school term dates, 39 week year).
- Location: Preferred at the student's home in Tower Hamlets OR at a community venue within Tower Hamlets (e.g. local library or Idea Store) if home tuition is not suitable.
Essential Experience
- Significant SEN experience
- Experience supporting young adults with complex needs
- Functional Skills English teaching experience
- Confidence delivering independence and Preparing for Adulthood outcomes
- Strong behaviour management and engagement skills
Desirable Experience
- Adult restraint or de-escalation training (can be arranged for tutor/s if required)
- Experience delivering LIFE programmes or similar independence-focused provision
Pay: £40.00-£55.00 per hour
