Amber Valley Dental Practice is looking for a motivated and patient-focused Dental Hygienist to join our friendly, well-established independent dental practice in Swanwick, Derbyshire.
This is a part-time, self-employed position working Thursdays, with an established patient list, excellent nursing support, and the opportunity to become part of a welcoming and experienced team.

The Role
The successful candidate will provide high-quality preventive and periodontal care, helping patients maintain excellent oral health while delivering a caring and professional experience.
You will work with an established patient list and collaborate closely with our dentists, dental nurses and reception team to provide outstanding patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide professional mechanical plaque removal and preventive care
- Deliver periodontal treatment and maintenance
- Educate and motivate patients to improve their oral health
- Provide treatment under both referral and direct access arrangements where appropriate
- Maintain accurate and detailed clinical records
- Work closely with the wider clinical team
- Follow all cross-infection and decontamination protocols
Essential Requirements
- GDC registration as a Dental Hygienist
- UK clinical experience
- Valid indemnity cover
- Enhanced DBS certificate
- Up-to-date CPD
- Hepatitis B immunisation
- Right to work in the UK
- Clinical references
