What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll be part of a skilled industrial services team, carrying out specialist cleaning activities on customer sites and RED Industries’ premises. You’ll work under the direction of the Industrial Cleaning Supervisor, following method statements, risk assessments and safe systems of work to deliver high‑quality results.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Read, understand and follow job‑specific Method Statements, Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments
- Take instruction from the Industrial Cleaning Supervisor
- Comply with confined space procedures
- Operate high‑pressure water jetting equipment
- Carry out a variety of industrial site service activities
- Ensure compliance with site‑specific and general H&S regulations
- Regularly submit near‑miss reports
- Maintain cleanliness and carry out basic maintenance of plant, equipment and vehicles
- Ensure customer requirements are met and all tasks are completed to the full scope
- Liaise with customers and site contacts as required
- Maintain strong communication with the line manager
- Manage and maintain PPE in line with RAMS
- Undertake First Aid duties (if accredited)
This role is hands‑on, physical and may involve working outdoors or in challenging environments — ideal for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork and staying active.
Who We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Full clean UK driving licence
- Experience of industrial cleaning activities on customer sites
Working knowledge of:
- Health & Safety legislation
- Good communication skills
Preferred (training can be provided):
- Additional industrial cleaning or equipment qualifications
Ideal but not essential:
- 1 year high‑pressure jetting experience
- 1 year industrial cleaning experience
You’ll also bring:
- Understanding of H&S, COSHH, Manual Handling, LOLER, RIDDOR and HSE regulations
- Strong work ethic and willingness to learn
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexibility and a solution‑driven attitude
- Ability to work outdoors year‑round
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
