Responsibilities
- Safely operate a variety of vehicles, including driver-approved models, to complete deliveries across designated routes
- Manage delivery schedules independently, ensuring timely pickups and drop-offs in accordance with company standards
- Communicate clearly with customers upon delivery, providing exceptional service and addressing any questions or concerns
- Conduct routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance needs, and ensure compliance with traffic laws and safety regulations
- Handle heavy lifting of packages and parcels, adhering to proper lifting techniques to prevent injury
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation, including logs and proof of delivery records
- Collaborate with warehouse teams when necessary for loading or unloading goods, demonstrating efficiency and attention to detail
Requirements
- Proven experience as a delivery driver or in a similar transportation role, with a strong focus on safety and punctuality
- Valid driver’s license suitable for driving manual, driver requirements; clean driving record preferred
- Commercial driving experience highly desirable; familiarity with local traffic laws and regulations
- Prior warehouse experience is a plus, especially involving heavy lifting or package handling
- Excellent communication skills to interact professionally with customers and team members
- Ability to lift heavy packages safely and efficiently during deliveries or warehouse tasks
- Strong organizational skills to manage routes, schedules, and delivery documentation effectively
