Cleaning Operative - 9 Month FTC
Job Purpose
To deliver day-to-day facilities services across allocated floors, ensuring a clean, safe, and professional working environment. The primary focus of this role is to maintain continuity of housekeeping services during a period of maternity leave cover, ensuring all services are delivered in a confident, efficient, and timely manner with minimal disruption to customers.
The successful candidate will be courteous, helpful, and efficient, consistently maintaining high standards of cleanliness, customer service, and Health & Safety compliance, while seeking opportunities to improve service quality and standards.
Key Responsibilities

Service, replenish stock, clean, and maintain all housekeeping areas within allocated floors to the required company standards, ensuring customer expectations are consistently met.

Respond positively, professionally, and promptly to all customer requests and operational requirements.

Maintain washrooms, vending areas, kitchens, and fridge areas in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.

Collect, segregate, and manage waste disposal, ensuring all internal and external bins are maintained appropriately.

Manage the collection and disposal of confidential waste in line with company procedures.

Respond efficiently to ad-hoc cleaning requests across the site.

Demonstrate high standards of personal presentation and hygiene, ensuring company uniform is always worn correctly.

Adhere to all company and client policies, procedures, site rules, and regulations.

Comply with Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices at all times.

Attend all required training sessions and development activities.
-
Maintain punctuality and adhere to designated working and break times.
Key Accountabilities

Complete all required training relating to cleaning and facilities services delivery.

Carry out scheduled cleaning tasks as directed by the Supervisor.

Maintain professional standards of appearance and conduct while on duty.

Ensure compliance with all client and company procedures and policies.

Contribute effectively to maintaining continuity and quality of service during the maternity cover period.

Experience

Previous experience in housekeeping, cleaning, facilities, or support services is desirable.

Knowledge of Health & Safety procedures and safe working practices preferred.
