THE ROLE
We’re looking for a confident, hands-on Assistant Manager to support the General Manager and help keep the venue running smoothly from open to close.
You’ll be a key presence on the floor - supporting the team, solving problems in real time, and making sure every part of the venue is guest-ready. This is a varied, fast-paced role, perfect for someone who loves hospitality, enjoys responsibility, and thrives in an entertainment-led environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Guest Experience & Service
- Support the delivery of warm, engaging, and memorable guest experiences.
- Be visible on the floor, leading by example and setting the standard for service.
- Assist with handling guest feedback and resolving issues quickly and professionally.
Team Support & Development
- Help train, coach, and motivate team members across games, bar, and kitchen.
- Support onboarding of new starters and ongoing team development.
- Contribute to a positive, inclusive, and high-energy team culture.
Operational Excellence
- Support day-to-day operations across all gaming areas, bar, and kitchen.
- Ensure all equipment (golf, bowls, darts, bowling, shuffleboard, clay shooting) is safe, clean, and fully operational.
- Maintain excellent venue standards, cleanliness, and presentation at all times.
Stock, Safety & Compliance
- Assist with stock ordering, rotation, and stock counts.
- Carry out daily health & safety and hygiene checks.
- Support compliance with licensing, food safety, and operational procedures.
Shift & People Management
- Support rotas, staffing levels, and shift leadership.
- Look after team wellbeing and communication on shift.
- Step up to run shifts independently when required.
ABOUT YOU
- Experience in a supervisory or Assistant Manager role within hospitality, leisure, or entertainment.
- A confident, approachable leader who enjoys being hands-on.
- Organised, detail-focused, and comfortable juggling priorities.
- Calm under pressure with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Passionate about guest experience, teamwork, and high standards.
