Location: Catterick, North Yorkshire
The core focus of this job is to support the Community Management Group and volunteers to deliver front-line public library services, including events and activities, to meet local needs and council priorities.
The postholder will also provide training, advice and support to the allocated volunteer team. Based at Catterick, Colburn and Richmond Community Libraries, the usual working pattern for this role is 7 hours per week at Richmond, 15 hours at Catterick and 15 hours at Colburn, but you may need to be available for some weekends and evenings.
You will be required to establish and maintain strong relations with the Community Management Group, supporting volunteers in daily operations to ensure consistent service delivery. You will be passionate about books and reading, have excellent communication skills, the ability to work with a range of partners, the ability to deliver a customer focussed service, and have literacy and numeracy qualifications equivalent to Level 2.
