We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and child-centred Deputy Manager to join the leadership team at our new children's home in Leicester.
This is a pivotal role where you will support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it operates in full compliance with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and Ofsted Quality Standards.

Your responsibilities will include:
· Providing strong leadership, guidance, and supervision to the care team.
· Deputising for the Registered Manager in their absence.
· Ensuring the home meets all regulatory and Ofsted requirements, safeguarding procedures, and quality standards.
· Overseeing care planning, risk assessments, and ensuring a child-centred approach.
· Contributing to recruitment, induction, performance management, and staff development.
· Leading audits, quality assurance activities, and supporting inspection preparation.
· Working in partnership with placing authorities, social workers, and other professionals.
About you:
· Substantial experience in a children's residential setting, with a proven track record in a senior or supervisory role.
· Strong knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the Quality Standards.
· Experience in care planning, safeguarding, and risk management.
· Demonstrable leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
· Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
· Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare (or equivalent) is essential.
· A Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to work towards) is required.
· A full UK driving licence.
