Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Housekeeper/Cleaner to join our team and help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment. In this vital role, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality cleaning services across our 9 guest rooms, bar and restaurant area. Ensuring that all spaces are spotless, organized, and hygienic. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will contribute to creating a positive experience for residents, staff, and visitors alike. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where your efforts directly impact the comfort and safety of others.
This post will be around 20 hours per week, will include weekends however will be between the hours of 10am and 4pm. Specific days and times will be discussed at interview. Due to the location of our establishment, a car or some other form of personal transport will be needed.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive cleaning tasks including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming, and sanitizing surfaces in accordance with established standards.
- Maintain cleanliness of common areas, restrooms, bedrooms, kitchens, and other designated spaces.
- Use commercial cleaning equipment and supplies efficiently while adhering to safety protocols.
- Restock supplies such as toiletries, paper products, and cleaning materials as needed.
- Follow detailed cleaning schedules and report any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Ensure all cleaning activities meet health and safety regulations, including infection control procedures when applicable.
- Assist with special cleaning projects or deep cleans as directed by supervisors.
Experience
- Previous experience in hotel/ bed & breakfast/ guest orientated services is preferred.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and maintain high standards of cleanliness consistently.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks efficiently.
- Reliable with a strong work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork and customer service.
