Farm & Estate Maintenance Assistant
An exciting opportunity has arisen at our rural estate near Blairgowrie.
This varied position will involve working across the farm and estate, assisting with the day-to-day management of our livestock and grounds. Duties will include caring for our herd of approximately 35 Aberdeen Angus cattle and 25 Hampshire Down sheep, as well as fencing, drainage work, estate maintenance, forestry, grass cutting, and general repairs and upkeep.
The successful applicant should be practical, hardworking and have previous experience working in a farming or estate environment. Experience operating tractors, machinery and equipment would be advantageous, although not essential for the right candidate. A willingness to turn your hand to a wide variety of tasks is essential.
The role requires someone who is self-motivated, reliable and able to work both independently and as part of a small team. The successful candidate will take pride in maintaining the estate to a high standard and have a proactive approach to their work.
This is a full-time position with flexibility required during busy periods and lambing/calving seasons where necessary.
