We are looking for kind, patient and reliable people to become Shared Lives Carers and support an adult to live independently as part of your home and community.
About the role
As a Shared Lives Carer, you will:
- Welcome an adult with care and support needs, into your home and support them as part of your everyday life
- Help them build independence, confidence and life skills
- Provide emotional support, companionship and encouragement
- Support with day-to-day activities such as cooking, budgeting or accessing the community
- Help someone feel part of a family and belong
Support arrangements are flexible and can include:
- Full-time (someone lives with you)
- Short breaks / respite
- Day support (although we are not currently recruiting for day support only)
