Class 2F Registered Building Inspector / Building Control Surveyor
Location: Central London
Rate: £75 per hour (Umbrella)
Contract: Initial 3-Month Contract (Rolling)
The Opportunity
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Class 2F Registered Building Inspector to join a busy Building Control team in Central London on an initial 3-month rolling contract.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing local authority managing a varied workload across residential, commercial and mixed-use developments. You'll be working within an experienced team, with the flexibility and autonomy to manage your own caseload while contributing to the delivery of a high-quality Building Control service.
The Role
As a Class 2F Registered Building Inspector, you will:
- Carry out site inspections on a wide range of construction projects.
- Assess plans and applications for compliance with the Building Regulations.
- Manage your own portfolio of Building Control applications from commencement through to completion.
- Provide technical advice to developers, architects, contractors and members of the public.
- Prepare detailed inspection records and reports.
- Ensure compliance with Building Safety Regulator requirements and current legislation.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues to deliver an efficient and customer-focused service.
Requirements
To be considered, you will have:
- Registration as a Class 2F Registered Building Inspector.
- Previous experience working within a Local Authority or Registered Building Control Approver.
- Strong knowledge of the Building Regulations and associated legislation.
- Excellent communication and organisational skills.
- The ability to work independently and manage a busy workload.

- £75 per hour (Umbrella)
- Initial 3-month contract with strong likelihood of extension
- Rolling contract
