About the Role
As a Children's Residential Team Leader, you'll play a key role in the day-to-day running of our home, leading shifts and supporting your colleagues to deliver the highest standards of care.
Working closely with the Registered Manager and wider leadership team, you'll help create a safe, structured and nurturing environment where children and young people feel valued, supported and encouraged to achieve positive outcomes.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Senior Support Worker or an ambitious Residential Support Worker who is ready to take the next step into a leadership position within a therapeutic, child-focused service.
Your Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate daily shifts to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the home.
- Deliver high-quality emotional, practical and therapeutic support to children and young people.
- Support, supervise and mentor colleagues, promoting a positive and collaborative team culture.
- Act as a positive role model, encouraging best practice and high standards of care.
- Contribute to the development, implementation and review of care plans, risk assessments and therapeutic strategies.
- Promote a safe, nurturing and structured environment that supports positive outcomes.
- Ensure safeguarding procedures, company policies and Ofsted standards are consistently followed.
- Build positive working relationships with families, social workers and other professionals.
- Complete accurate records, reports and daily documentation in line with regulatory requirements.
About You
We're looking for someone who is compassionate, resilient and passionate about improving the lives of children and young people.
You'll have:
- A Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare or an equivalent qualification (essential).
- Previous experience working within a children's residential care setting.
- Experience leading shifts, supervising colleagues or the confidence and ability to step into a Team Leader role.
- Excellent communication, leadership and organisational skills.
- A calm, resilient and child-centred approach.
- A strong understanding of safeguarding and delivering high-quality residential care.
- A commitment to helping children achieve positive outcomes.
- A full UK driving licence (preferred).
