Were looking for a proactive and organised Caseworker Assistant to join our SEND Assessment and Review Team.
As a Caseworker Assistant, you will be at the heart of a busy and rewarding service that makes a real difference to local families. Working closely with Caseworkers, schools, families and partner agencies, you will support the delivery of statutory SEND processes, maintain accurate records, monitor key timescales and help ensure children and young people receive the right support at the right time.

What youll be doing
- Supporting the administration of SEND assessment and review processes to ensure statutory requirements and timescales are met.
- Maintaining accurate records and supporting data quality within the services Management Information System.
- Building positive relationships with families, schools, education providers and partner agencies.
- Responding to enquiries and providing advice and guidance on SEND processes.
- Supporting Caseworkers in the delivery of their statutory duties and associated procedures.
- Contributing to service development, improvement projects and the ongoing success of the team.
What youll need
To be successful in this role, you will be highly organised, motivated and able to work effectively in a busy environment where managing multiple priorities and meeting deadlines is essential.
You will bring:
- Experience of working in a customer-focused administrative or support role.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise your workload effectively.
- Strong communication skills, with the confidence to build positive relationships with families, schools and professionals.
- Experience of working with databases, case management systems or management information systems, alongside good Microsoft Office skills.
- The ability to problem solve, adapt to changing priorities and manage competing demands.
- A collaborative approach, resilience and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Knowledge of SEND processes, education services or the public sector would be beneficial, but we are equally keen to hear from candidates who can demonstrate transferable skills, a positive attitude and a willingness to learn.
You should be educated to NVQ Level 3 in a relevant subject, or be able to demonstrate an equivalent level of knowledge gained through relevant work experience.
