Experienced Front of House / Bar Team Member
As Truro’s longest-standing independently run café/bar, Zafiros has been at the heart of the city for over 20 years.
With some of our team heading off to university and spreading their wings, we are now looking for an experienced Front of House / Bar Team Member to join us.
This role would suit someone who is passionate about hospitality, enjoys delivering excellent customer service and wants to work for an independent business that genuinely values its team and respects a healthy work–life balance.
As a key member of our front-of-house team, you will help provide outstanding customer service, prepare and serve coffee and alcoholic drinks, and support the smooth day-to-day running of the café and bar.
We are looking for someone who brings energy, professionalism and a friendly personality to every shift.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Welcoming customers warmly and taking food and drink orders accurately and efficiently.
- Preparing and serving coffees, alcoholic drinks and other beverages to a consistently high standard.
- Following all food safety and alcohol licensing requirements.
- Keeping the bar and customer areas clean, organised and well stocked.
- Monitoring stock levels, glassware, equipment and bar supplies.
- Processing cash and card payments accurately using our till system.
- Checking that customers are happy throughout their visit and responding promptly to any questions, concerns or special requests.
- Working closely with the rest of the team to provide a smooth and enjoyable experience for every customer.
What we’re looking for:
- Previous front-of-house and bar experience within the hospitality industry.
- Barista experience and confidence preparing a range of coffees.
- Good communication skills and the confidence to engage with a wide variety of customers.
- The ability to remain organised and work efficiently in a busy environment.
- A positive, reliable and professional attitude.
- A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service.
- Flexibility to work a mixture of daytime, evening and weekends

Pay: £12.71-£13.50 per hour
Expected hours: 20.0 – 35.0 per week
