As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a crucial role in supporting the culinary team by ensuring that the kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently. Responsibilities
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including washing dishes, pots, and pans.
- Assist with food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or cooks.
- Ensure all kitchen equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
- Help maintain inventory levels by assisting with stock rotation and reporting low supplies.
- Support chefs during busy service periods by providing timely assistance.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Assist with waste disposal and recycling efforts in accordance with company policies.
Skills
- Previous experience in a kitchen or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential.
- A keen interest in culinary arts and food preparation.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Good communication skills and a willingness to work as part of a team.
