Job Summary
We have a rare opportunity to join our iconic Boston-based family owned company! Jakemans (Confectioners) Ltd are looking to recruit a Technical Coordinator to join our small team responsible for food technical compliance & quality assurance. This role would suit a graduate in this field or a candidate with some food manufacturing experience.
Hours of work:
Monday to Friday comprising 5 x 7.5 hour shifts between the hours of 8.00am and 5.00pm. Hours somewhat negotiable or part-time may be considered for appropriate candidate.
24 days holiday per annum plus 8 statutory bank holidays.
MAIN TASKS AND KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Provide assistance on site for announced and unannounced secondary and third-party audits, primarily BRC.
2. Assist in management of both prevention (Quality Assurance) and Appraisal (Quality Control) aspects of the Quality programme.
3. Being willing to contribute and where possible form part of the HACCP team.
4. Support in management of projects in conjunction with the Assistant Technical & CI Manager, leading to the introduction of new products, process and manufacturing standards.
5. Assist with technical information to maintain compliance with EU legislation and standards.
6. Assist in the sampling and inspection programmes for all incoming materials (including chemicals and raw materials, bulk finished product and packaging materials).
7. Assist in the Production QC inspection programme in the manufacturing and packing areas.
8. Contribute to the maintenance of the Supplier Approval system
9. Assist in the co-ordination of document change control studies to support changes in systems, processes and plant as part of the change control system.
10. Assist with the documentation of any root cause corrective action investigations required for complaints, rejections, deviations, non-conformances etc.
11. Maintain the customer complaints file.
12. Support the co-ordination and sign off of BMR paperwork in relation to Quality and Technical requirements.
13. Support with day-to-day operations of the technical department, working in conjunction with other departments onsite.
14. Any other duties as is deemed necessary for which you have been trained or have suitable experience.
Pay: £28,000.00-£30,000.00 per year
