We're looking for enthusiastic, reliable and passionate Sports Coaches who want to make a genuine difference in children's lives.
The Role
As a Sports Coach at BFree Sports, you will deliver engaging, inclusive and enjoyable sports sessions that help children develop physically, socially and emotionally. You'll work within primary schools, supporting children of all abilities while creating a safe, energetic and positive learning environment.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with children, has a passion for sport and wants to inspire the next generation through outstanding coaching.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality Sports sessons, after-school clubs and holiday camp activities.
- Plan and deliver engaging sessions that are fun, inclusive and appropriate for different ages and abilities.
- Teach fundamental movement skills alongside a variety of sports and games.
- Create a positive environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged.
- Promote teamwork, resilience, confidence and respect through every session.
- Adapt activities to meet the needs of individual children, including those with additional needs where appropriate.
- Monitor children's progress and provide positive feedback to support development.
- Maintain high standards of behaviour management and safeguarding at all times.
- Set up, organise and care for sports equipment safely.
- Build positive relationships with school staff, parents and the wider BFree Sports team.
- Represent BFree Sports professionally in every school and community setting.
What We're Looking For
We're looking for someone who:
- Has experience coaching or working with children.
- Has a genuine passion for helping children develop through sport.
- Is energetic, enthusiastic and positive.
- Can confidently lead groups of children.
- Has excellent communication and organisational skills.
- Is reliable, punctual and professional.
- Can work independently while also being a strong team player.
- Is committed to creating a safe, inclusive and enjoyable environment for every child.
Essential Requirements
- Experience coaching sport or delivering physical activity sessions.
- Ability to travel to schools across South London.
- Enhanced DBS Certificate (or willingness to obtain one).
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
Desirable Qualifications
- Level 2 Sports Coaching Qualification (or equivalent).
- Paediatric or Emergency First Aid qualification.
- Safeguarding Children certificate.
- Experience delivering Primary PE.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
