P & E Consulting Services Ltd is a RICS-regulated chartered surveying and construction consultancy. We provide professional surveying and consultancy services across areas such as quantity surveying, project management, party wall matters, boundary surveying, residential surveying and property consultancy.
We are looking for a commercially minded Business Development Manager / Growth Partner to help us identify, approach and convert new business opportunities.
This is a flexible, commission-based role initially, suitable for someone with strong networking, sales, property, construction or professional services experience. For the right person, there is scope for the role to develop into a more structured paid position as the business grows.
The role will involve:
- Identifying potential clients, referral partners and new business opportunities
- Approaching property professionals, landlords, developers, managing agents, housing providers, architects and other relevant contacts
- Generating warm leads and arranging introductory calls
- Supporting follow-up activity with prospective clients
- Helping build relationships that lead to new instructions
- Keeping simple records of leads, conversations and outcomes
- Representing the business professionally and accurately
We are particularly interested in speaking with people who have experience in:
- Business development
- Property, construction or surveying
- Estate agency, lettings, property management or investment
- Professional services sales
- B2B relationship building
- Lead generation and outreach
Commission structure:
This role is commission-based initially. The successful person will receive 25% commission on qualifying new business introduced by them, calculated on net professional fees received by P & E Consulting Services Ltd.
Commission is payable once the client has paid P & E Consulting. VAT, disbursements, third-party costs, subcontractor costs and reimbursable expenses are excluded from commission calculations.
Example earnings:
- £5,000 net professional fee = £1,250 commission
- £10,000 net professional fee = £2,500 commission
- £15,000 net professional fee = £3,750 commission
This is an uncapped opportunity, but earnings will depend on successful introductions and paid instructions.
About you:
You should be confident, professional and comfortable speaking with business owners, property professionals and decision-makers. You do not need to be a surveyor, but you should be able to understand and communicate professional services clearly.
The right person will be proactive, trustworthy, organised and able to spot commercial opportunities.
Important note:
This is intended to be a self-employed / consultancy-style growth role at the initial stage, not a salaried employee position. Full commission terms will be agreed in writing before starting.
